Currently, the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY exclusively carries the PlayStation-certified status. This handset even comes with a special slide-out gamepad. Luckily, the exclusivity will be broken up by HTC. The manufacturer has plans to offer its version of the smartphone in the second quarter of this year.
The PS certification will allow HTC to bring top-level PSP games to its devices, so that the free time is used to overcome the challenges of the games.
HTC officials refused to answer whether this news is trustworthy or not. They just said they have no plans to “comment on rumors or speculations.” Still it will be a great strategy to get more attention from the segment of market, which never considered HTC a cool youth-oriented company.
If this feature is added to handsets also sporting Beats Audio technology, then the success will be guaranteed, as the youth will definitely love that. Imagine a device with the most advanced gaming and music capabilities! It will be something awesome!
