The HTC Holiday will be the first device playing on AT&T’s LTE network. But it seems the same phone with the name the HTC Raider 4G LTE will be launched via Bell and Rogers in Canada. The phone designated for Bell’s Superphone category will be offered for $169.95. The consumers will have to sign a three-year contract with the operator, otherwise they’ll have to pay $499.95 for the phone. Rogers’ offer is more favorable, I guess — $149.99 with a similar three-year contract.
The HTC Raider will support Bell’s LTE network, but when out of coverage the phone will drop back to the HSPA+ 42Mbps network. Moreover, the phone is packed with a 4.5-inch qHD display, a dual-core 1.5GHz processor with 1GB of RAM aboard, an 8MP rear camera recording Full HD videos at 1080p and a 1.3MP front camera for video calls. Plus, it runs Android 2.3.
As you see it’s one of the most powerful handsets on the market, and these two Canadian carriers must be proud of having such a handset in their stores. Anyway, the launch date is not mentioned yet, but we expect it to be launched in the coming weeks.
