The shareholders of HTC should be pleased. It seems that manufacturing Android-based smartphones is an extremely profitable occupation. Specializing in it, HTC is currently experiencing one of the most positive periods in its development.

The current financial report of Taiwanese manufacturer produces a very strong impression. For the second quarter of 2010 the revenue of the company reached up to 1.8 billion dollars! It’s even more impressive than the first quarter results when the turnover amounted to $1.6 billion.
The net income for HTC was equal to 268 million dollars. Not bad, considering that last year over the same period, the company earned around $ 202 million. This allowed the Taiwanese to hold the fourth place among the largest suppliers of smartphones (after Nokia, Apple and RIM).
