It is a duty these times to share bit by bit what HTC is planning to do this year. In its turn Digitimes quotes a Chinese newspaper Commercial Times who quotes a JP Morgan Chase analyst, who says HTC is preparing to announce a new device with a new quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor at Mobile World Congress next month in Barcelona. The new handset is going to run an Android OS and will feature Qualcomm’s LTE-enabled MSM 8906 SoC.
The mentioned JP Morgan analyst said in case HTC manages to reveal its Tegra 3 and MSM 8960 smartphones at MWC this will provide the Taiwanese company a little advantage, well, until the competitors come forward with their consecutive innovations. The new devices are expected to have the following code names – Edge and Zeta. The analyst continued to predict success for HTC telling the company will reappear in its leading role in 2012 increasing its sales by 15 percent this year and in 2013 by 29 percent sales raise.
I think this is just a good wish. HTC has lost a considerable part of its once-devoted fans who shifted either to iPhone or to Nokia. I doubt if HTC will manage to outrun its competitors this year too, but it can stay in the game for a while for sure.
