An HTC device with the code of PI39200 has gotten FCC approval, and I think it’s the same HTC Runnymede, as it comes with an AT&T support like the aforementioned handset. In any case, we can’t be sure of this, though almost everything’s talking about the fact we are dealing with the same model.
The HTC Runnymede is also known as HTC Bass and HTC Sensation XL. It’s expected the phone will be revealed with the last moniker at London event. Honestly, the phone name is a matter of taste, and I don’t think it affects consumers’ choice. We’d better see what’s there under the hood, because there’s a number of specs you’ll get attracted to.
First, the HTC Runnymede is the Android version of the well-known HTC Titan. And many features will be common for both handsets. However, the Runnymede sports a giant 4.7-inch WVGA display, a 1.5GHz single-core processor, 768MB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front camera. It also supports Beats Audio like the HTC Rhyme, and runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread with the latest HTC Sense 3.5 UI.
No one can say for sure whether the HTC PI39200 is the same HTC Runnymede or not, but everything indicates about it. In any case, in a few hours everything will be clear.
