The international variant of the HTC One X was launched in Europe on April 5. The phone was thrown into different tests and each time registered shocking results.
This model is packed with a quad-core processor, which seemed to be an inadequate “colleague” to the battery, but one of those benchmarks showed record numbers in terms of battery durability. On the other hand, another test showed the dual-core HTC One X is faster than the quad-core HTC One XL. What we wonder about is whether the quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 is a good option for the HTC One X or not. Turns out we are not the only ones interested in that.
XDA developer forum member Mike 1986 has found the HTC One X has a power management problem. While making a custom ROM for the device he discovered that an NVIDIA power control app dubbed as NvCPLSvc.apk was misplaced in the /system/bin folder; its proper location should be /system/app. He put the APK in the corresponding folder, and this trick brought back 10% to 20% of the battery life.
If you have the international variant of the HTC One X, try out this method to ensure longer battery life. All the instructions are introduced on the forum, but if you are a noob, I advise you to wait for an official fix.
