T-Mobile has been in the news recently with preparations for the HTC One S launch and the media event taking place in New York. The event dedicated to the One S was supposed to make all launch details public, including the on and off contract prices.
From what we saw, T-Mobile has planned everything beforehand. The off-contract price for the HTC One S was set $599.99 on T-Mobile’s website before the event started. The reason of announcing the price earlier than the actual event is difficult for us to understand. Maybe the carrier wanted everyone to talk about the price during the event, or the guy sitting in front of the computer messed up the time to publish.

Another questionable move is the price itself. Setting the price higher (even though the difference is not very significant) than that of the unlocked international One S definitely needs clarification. Perhaps the bet is set on the phone’s feature of supporting T-Mobile’s AWS bands, which the international variant lacks.
