HTC Legend Lands to Bell

From now on Virgin mobile is not going to be the only carrier to offer the HTC Legend. From June 16 another major carrier — Bell — is going to join this carrier. The price of the device (if you sign a three-year contract with the carrier) is going to be the same as for Virgin Mobile — $79.99.

If you don’t want the smartphone with a contract, its price via Bell will be $50 higher than via Virgin Mobile — $399.99. This sounds to be quite unreasonable. Why did Bell decide to set such a high price? No one knows…

Anyway, $80 is a great price for a great smartphone “sculpted from a single piece of aluminum.” It has a 600 MHz processor and runs Android 2.1 (Éclair) with HTC Sense. It has 512MB of ROM and 384MB of RAM, a microSD card slot (supports up to 32GB), a 5 megapixel color camera with auto focus and flash and many other useful features.
