The Pocketnow guys revealed a new pic demonstrating an HTC novelty. The device is assumed to be called the HTC Lead, though we can’t say for sure it really exists.
The pic (which, by the way, shows a smartphone with a typical HTC design with typical buttons — nothing new) looks like a Photoshop creation, and we know nothing about the smartphone except its name. I personally don’t really think that the device will come up (if it is ever released) with this exact design. The buttons of the device are designed in the earlier HTC style, using not the three stacked lines, but the word “menu.” The main device that resembles the novelty is the HTC HD2, well, except for the buttons.
Another good point is the size of the display. If we compare the button and display ration, we will see that the display looks larger than in the rest of the HTC smartphones. But it might also mean that the device will be featuring smaller menu buttons, who knows.
If the device is real, we will hear more about it very soon. And if we don’t, I bet it will just appear to be either a Photoshop creation or just an HTC concept. There’s also a chance that the device might be designed for one specific market, e.g. China, that’s why we do not have any news about it. We’ll see soon anyway.
