I remember a fairytale where a child grows up not day by day but hour by hour. Now I can say the same thing about HTC that makes amazing announcements every day showing how fast it enlarges its activity. This time I am speaking about its investment in a total sum of $300 million in Beats Electronics, which will give the company 51 percent stake in the Beats Electronics.
The Beats Electronics was established back in 2006 and it is the famous project of legendary artist and producer Dr. Dre and chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records Jimmy Iovine. The company has developed a new type of headphones with the capability of reproducing the full spectrum of sound. This technology makes users listen to music in the quality the musical artists and producers hear in professional recording studios.
As HTC CEO Peter Chou announced, it will bring HTC to a step up and it won’t be difficult to actualize this project because current smartphones are packed with very powerful features. If everything goes well I guess we’ll see the first Beats-enabled HTC devices this fall making these handsets a head above other smartphones, because there is no other manufacturer cooperating with such a company.
