HTC HD2 – Another Overview

Forget the iPhone and Blackberry, the HTC HD2 is the new phone on the block, and it’s promising to knock the ‘big two’ off the top of the smartphone tables.

Boasting a huge 4.3 inch touchscreen, the HD2 is really impressive, and it is indeed the first Windows Phone to come packing the HTC Sense overlay interface, as well as a capacitive multi-touch screen. Tests have shown that is obliterates the iPhone in terms of raw processing speed and ability to handle Flash video, and it only takes a few minutes to realise this. It’s actually a much better equipped phone than its predecessor — the HTC Hero, having a much more responsive screen and Wi-Fi routing ability.

HTC has better devices than Samsung, LG, or Nokia have come up with so far, and it seems the number one contender to the iPhone’s throne. But, if you’re not too keen on HTC, why not try the X10, the forthcoming Android phone from Sony Ericsson. It’s main selling points are essentially the Android overlay (obviously), and the usual range of multimedia-friendly hardware that’s packed into the sleek and slim chassis. The handset boasts a 4-inch screen, which makes up the majority of the phone save for a few buttons here and there, and Sony Ericsson fans have been screaming out for larger screens for some time now.

It also has a 1GHz processor, so surfing the net or using Facebook is hassle free and super quick! It looks set to go into direct competition with the HTC HD2 for the title of bets alternative to the iPhone, and on the evidence, it looks set to be a close call. The HTC HD2 is certainly one of the most stylish phones to hit the market in recent years, however, the X10 has something revolutionary about it, and the 4-inch screen may just be the deal breaker!
