The HTC Flyer will soon get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. HTC’s first tablet is equipped with a seven inch display (the smallest possible tablet display) and comes with HTC Scribe stylus, which makes it easier to manage the device. Originally equipped with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread it recently received its Android 3.2 Honeycomb update. The update allowed having more access to various apps available on Android Market. It also completely changed the apps customized for HTC Sense UI.
We learned about the probability of this update via a customer service reply. HTC representative advised people complaining about the changes made on their devices to wait until the release of the Android 4.0 ICS update.
The update is scheduled for the first quarter of this year. Consequently, in less than 9 weeks we will experience the latest version of Android on the HTC Flyer. The tablet is now priced at $299, which is just awesome, as even the smartphones planned to come with Android ICS pre-installed often cost far more.
