Clove stores finally made its official statement about the release date of the HTC Flyer. The tablet has been going through the pre-order thing for quite a long period of timing, but even the price of the device remains unknown. At least we know now that the users will be able to get their tablets straight from Clove stores sometime in mid-April.

HTC Flyer is going to the be the first HTC-branded Taiwanese tablet worth to mention. There are only two main things that are disadvantageous- those are the display size and the OS version. The manufacturer decided to come up with a strange solution of making a smaller display. In contrast to the 10.1 and 8.9 inch display tablets, HTC has its 7 inch tablet. Well, some still consider this to be a way of differing from the rest. The interesting stylus that comes with the gadget makes the functionality of the small screen bearable. As for the OS version we do not have any explanations. HTC Pyramid is going to be a smartphone based on Android 3.0, then how come HTC Flyer has Android Gingerbread instead?

The official feature coverage of the Clove blog includes the following:

  • 7 Inch Touchscreen with HTC Scribe Technology for On-Screen Handwriting
  • Google Android 2.4 Operating System with HTC Sense
  • 5 Megapixel rear facing camera and 1.3 Megapixel Front Facing Camera.
