HTC’s first tablet showed good results — though it didn’t become a real competitor to the iPad 2 like the Motorola Xoom, this tablet managed to become very popular with users. During the 10 months the Flyer is being sold, its price hasn’t dropped, which proves its high demand. However, now the HTC Flyer is available for just £199 in the UK, though we can’t say how long this discount will last.
Recently some authors were trying to predict the HTC Flyer’s end saying it is offered for a very expensive price and it can’t make a real competition in the market. Now we can say for sure this tablet is still on the top and won’t move from its place unless the Taiwanese company launches quad-core tablet(s) costing less than $300.
Anyway, all these plans have to be implemented next year, so if you still want to buy an HTC tablet at an affordable price, it’ll be better to stop reading and visit Dixons to get one for you. I only have to add the HTC Flyer runs Android 2.3, but as you know the Honeycomb update is available for download, so there’s absolutely no reason to find fault with.
