The pre-orders of the HTC Flyer from Best Buy have started on May 1. And finally, after 20 days, the tablet can be purchased!
The tablet is a 7-inch device coming with the HTC Sense UI and a 1.5 GHz processor. It’s the Wi-Fi version of the HTC Flyer, while the 3G version is not official yet. The OS of the tablet is Gingerbread 2.3, but we hope the situation will change when the update to Android 3.0 or Android 3.1 is released. Maybe we will finally see Honeycomb on the HTC Flyer!
You can also separately buy the famous HTC Scribe — the digital pen (or stylus, as it’s still called by some of the customers) will cost you some additional $80. The stylus will help you take notes, highlight, color, draw and edit the text on your tablet.
The device is going to cost $499 for the customers who wish to get it without a contract. Actually I would say that it’s not a bad price for this rather attractive tablet. Just get to Best Buy’s website to find out all of the details about the device.
