The last thing we heard about the HTC Evo 4G LTE referred to Google Wallet. We learned it didn’t support the system. The phone was overclocked at 1.8GHz but there was no other info coming from owners of this awesome device. Now we have Sprint announcing the Evo 4G LTE owners can download Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.
As for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the last smartphone to get this update was the international variant of the HTC One X. Since the latter was upgraded to JB, we knew the update brings many improvements, HTC Sense 4+, enhanced camera capabilities, Tap and Go feature which allows users to pair their device with a set of Beats Audio speakers simply by tapping them together and so on.
This is not the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system but the Evo 4G LTE owners shouldn’t complain on it as none of HTC smartphones is getting Android 4.2.
At the end, Sprint reminds the update is pushed out region by region. So be patient until you get your notification about the update availability.
