HTC Evo 4G Gets Minor Update With Many Improvements

Sprint’s HTC Evo 4G is the best-selling Android smartphone, this is why the carrier decided to push out a minor update for this handset to fix some bugs. The Evo 4G is the next smartphone getting such attention from the carrier after the Motorola Photon 4G.

This update won’t change the version of Android, I mean your Evo 4G will remain on Android 2.3. But this doesn’t mean the update is not important because the Evo 4G had some issues that are fixed by this minor update. I guess there are many users who have suffered from voice recognition and image size problems with transferring contacts over Bluetooth, images being cut off in Picasa, not showing up group contacts in alphabetical order, memory errors and ‘Unable to send SMS’ issues. This update is what you need, because all abovementioned bugs are fixed with it.

The update will be available over-the-air, which means it will take the carrier a couple of weeks before all Evo 4G smartphones get the notification about the update’s availability. Anyway, you can always check it yourself just going to Settings>About Phone. If there is no notification, do it for several times. It’s only left to say the update will bring your phone to software version 4.53.651.1.
