Sometimes retailers act in a rather interesting manner and cause confusion to the customers. Seems like it’s Best Buy’s turn now to do strange things. The retailer has started to take pre-orders for the HTC EVO 3D, but this info is not mentioned anywhere. The website of the retailer doesn’t have a special webpage for the device. There’s only a memo version of it, designed for the line workers of Best Buy.
The website says the following:
“This is meant to capture only those customers coming into our stores inquiring about the EVO 3D who are otherwise not purchasing another phone today. In other words, if a customer asks, you can tell him or her about the pre-sale. Otherwise, mums the word.”

According to the statement, only limited info can be provided to the customers — the memo has a strict list of the specs of the device that can be shared. The list includes the Gingerbread version of the Android OS, 4 inch 3D display (exclusive offer of the smartphone), 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Blockbuster OnDemand app.
Then comes another interesting spec of the HTC EVO 3D — the dual 5 megapixel camera. The memo states that it is designed “to capture both high-quality conventional and stunning 3D images and videos — this takes streaming and uploading to a whole new level.”
The price of the device is not announced yet.
