The HTC Desire was launched in the UK on April 8, 2010, and after a year its successor, the HTC Desire S, was launched on the same day and via the same carrier, the Vodafone UK. I remember Verizon started to take pre-orders for it, announcing it will be available on April 8. The mentioned date came, and now the HTC Desire S is available via Vodafone UK, not Verizon.
Anyway, let’s see what features the handset is equipped with and what other similarities the original Desire and its successor have.

The HTC Desire S is the next flagship of the company and its features prove this title. The specs list includes a 3.7-inch touchscreen, 1GHz single-core second generation processor, 768 MB of RAM, 1.1 GB of ROM and a 5 MP rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash. Plus, the phone is good in connectivity aspect, too, supporting Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G.
You can get the HTC Desire S via Vodafone UK for free signing a two-year contract starting at £30 (about $49) per month. This data plan gives you 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500 MB of data. If you choose the £35 (about $57) per month data plan, you get 900 minutes, unlimited texts and 750 MB of data. For £40 ($65) per month, Vodafone will give you 1200 minutes, and the same unlimited texts and 750 MB you’d get on the £35 plan. Finally, for £55 ($90) each month you’ll get 3000 minutes, 1 GB of data and the unlimited texts.
Well, I guess you have been waiting for the HTC Desire S for a while, and now you it’s time to choose the data plans.
