Some manufacturers have learned ways to make clones that almost identify the top models. This helps to predict their demand and to produce counterfeit devices more successfully. Their last creation is HTC Desire HD, which was released not long after the actual release of the original device.
External two devices are nearly identical; the smartphone fully justifies the title. The Clone HTC Desire HD has the same shape and proportions, a huge 4.3-inch touch screen with 800 × 480, and arrangement of elements copying the original.
But if the Chinese apparently corresponds to the flagship of Taiwan’s flagship, the stuffing of it is fully different. The clone works on the chipset MTK 6516 Dual Core, popular for the devices of its class, with the frequency of 460 MHz, “on board” there’s only 512MB of RAM and internal memory.
There is also declared 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, but it is unlikely to provide the appropriate level of imagery. Indicated on the package there’s also information about the support of Dolby Mobile and SRS, which I doubt to be a reality.
The main feature of the clone is a free choice of operating system. In the Chinese HTC Desire HD you have both pre-installed Android and Windows Mobile. But if there are two platform support for two SIM cards is not surprising.
