HTC is working on a new smartphone, the HTC Bliss, which is going to be the first Android smartphone targeted especially at women in the 20-30’s. They say the device will appear this year.

The pic above is not the real photo of the upcoming smartphone, just a concept. Not what you expected, heh? According to HTC, the HTC Bliss isn’t going to be pink or purple. It will most likely be green, with rubber casing like the HTC Droid Incredible 2’s one. Besides, we have heard the smartphone is going to be a half centimeter thinner than the HTC Desire Z and with no physical keyboard.
As for the specs of the upcoming smartphone, nothing is known for sure yet. Some say it is going to have two cameras – back and front facing; others say the phone will have only one camera. Processor, memory and other features are still a mystery.
The HTC Bliss will run Android, of course, but the version of the OS is still unknown. It will also have the popular HTC Sense UI – version 2.5 or 3 probably. The phone will have some “calming” wallpapers and apps designed especially for women (calorie counting, shopping or something like that… Not sure all women will like that, but anyway, let’s wait and see).
The smartphone is also going to have an interesting accessory – a “charm indicator” that can be attached to a bag or purse. The “indicator” lights up and notifies the owner of the smartphone that there is a missed call or a new message. And, well, it looks very cool and stylish, too.
We guess the HTC Bliss will be released via Verizon, but the carrier doesn’t make any comments about it yet, neither does HTC.
