The HTC Arrive was launched in spring. That time this phone was one of the best handsets running Windows Phone. It was so popular that Sprint offered it for $200, but then the phone became less popular and yielded its place to other worthy smartphones, and its price dropped, too — even Wirefly offered it for $25. However, it doesn’t mean the HTC Arrive is out of the carrier’s attention now. Absolutely no, because some time ago we heard that the phone was going to receive a security update on May 24. After this case we didn’t hear anything else about the HTC Arrive. But today we have good news!
The Arrive should get Windows Phone Mango update in the coming weeks. Moreover, it was announced AT&T and Verizon would update their WP devices on September 27, i.e. the big carriers in the U.S. should roll out updates in the coming days, but it seems Sprint is the first as a WPCentral forum member found out an HTC Arrive unit already updated with Windows Phone Mango. The OS version is 7.10.7720.68.
Well, this could mean only one thing — the Mango update has been rolled out for testing, and all owners of this handset will soon get their updates. So be attentive, because Sprint can announce it each moment. Before it happens you can get acquainted with the phone reading our HTC Arrive review.
