Sprint finally made it- the carrier announced the smatphone HTC Arrive. The device has been rumored to arrive to Sprint for quiet a while, but the carrier was simply delaying the release date as much as possible.
The gadget which is simply American CDMA version of HTC 7 Pro, has a list of rather interesting specs, including 3.6 inch WVGA display, 1GHz Snapdragon-branded processor, 5 megapixel camera coming with the possibility of shooting 720p videos (well, actually this feature became a typical one for the recent high-end HTC smartphones), 16 GB of storage capability and surely one of the recent version of OS- WP7. That’s the main reason the smatphone is equipped with the latest Microsoft feature of the copy/paste update.
The CDMA connectivity is just another feature that used to be a privilege of the Android mobile phones and now we have it on the WP7 novelty. And hopefully this will make at least a few credits making the gadget attractive for the customers.
If the American version of the mobile phone is gaining more popularity having as the main competitor just another HTC smatphone- HTC Inspire 4G, then this is not the case for the European version of it. The thing is that the competition is getting tougher especially in the U.K., as in March the release of the LG Optimus 2X will take place. The device will come up with 8 megapixel camera and dual-core processor!
As for the pricing of the upcoming HTC Arrive we do have the most usual price of $199.99 with a two-year agreement. The release date of the gadget is announced to be March 20, 2011.
