Finally HTC has published the schedule table for those handsets that will get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. There are already several smartphones running this version of Google’s platform, and now the rest of users can learn whether their devices have won a lucky ticket or not.
The first HTC smartphone to get it was the AT&T’s Vivid, which was followed by the Amaze 4G and the Sensation 4G. It was a bit confusing because still in March HTC’s Sensation series smartphones were testing ICS update in select countries.
Well, the company has also announced the devices, which are packed with less than 512MB of RAM, won’t ever get Android 4.0 update. HTC tablets are out of the list as well, so the HTC Flyer, the Evo View 4G and the Jetstream will stick to Android 3.2 Honeycomb.
All upgradable devices will get their portions before the end of summer. The last handsets to get ICS are the HTC Thunderbolt and the Desire HD. Before you start checking out if your smartphone is included in the list or not, you must know HTC hasn’t yet decided if the Droid Incredible 2 will get the update or not. The final decision will be made before the end of August.
