HTC recently announced it wants to reenter the tablet market but there were no words about its entering the phablet market too.
Some time ago we introduced an unknown HTC device with a red accent implying it will represent the Droid line, thus it will come via Verizon. Though the company has yet not made any official statement the handset has already become very popular in HTC-devoted blogs.
Today we have new details disclosed. The phablet’s initial name is the HTC Droid Incredible X. It will come with a secondary notification light, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 chip, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. But more amazingly, the HTC DIX will sport a 5-inch 1080p display at a resolution of 480ppi.
Can’t say whether it’s real or not but I tend to believe in benchmark scores for the HTC 6435LVW. As a reminder, the latter showed the 5-inch HTC phablet will come with a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 and a 1794×1080 display at a much lower 418ppi.
