I think some of you have already forgotten about the HTC Droid Incredible. The reason is that the handset has been discontinued for a few months now. Still some of the users claim Verizon’s rolling Android Gingerbread to the handsets. The update to the latest OS of the moment (no ICS updates until 2012) was promised sometime in September of this year. But the promise was not fulfilled because the device was moved from the stores of the carrier.
The software update will bring Gingerbread experience for the HTC Droid Incredible customers. In addition to this, the devices will get a better Bluetooth functionality. Another change will be the Verizon category in the Android Market app store. As for the basic fixes, we have voice command improvements, memory increase for SMS storage, and also there will be a chance for the app storage on the microSD cards.
The update comes as an OTA, which means that it will take a few weeks to reach all the devices. As soon as you get the update you’ll be notified about it.
