HTC smartphones begin to get Gingerbread one after another. And though we have informed you such deal could happen but we didn’t expect so many handsets would get it so soon. Now it’s time for the HTC Desire HD that could be upgraded to Android 2.3. This update is not official so we can expect many bugs within and if you are not sure what you are doing do not flash it.
This ROM could mean only one thing – the developers offer something new to play with and almost all geeks are sure it is possible for devs to figure out work-arounds for almost anything that needs improvement.

It’s very nice news for other HTC smartphone owners as this kind ROMs now could be developed for their handsets too. However, I guess many users would be happy to get their hands on Gingerbread and the new Sense UI.

Recall, the HTC Desire HD was released in October last year a month after it had been announced and was one of the first smartphones running Froyo. Now several months have passed and all those users who are impatient of getting Android 2.3, can try their luck.
I think it’s not unnecessary to remind you it’ll be better to back up your data before updating your HTC Desire HD to Gingerbread.
