Dopod, subsidiary of HTC in China, released Dopod A6188, modification of HTC Magic for the Chinese market.
Dopod A6188 is exclusively designed for use in the Celestial Empire and supports local networks of third-generation TD-SCDMA. Android OS was replaced by OMS (Open Mobile System). It is a modified Android OS, which has added support for the standard TD-SCDMA, as well as a number of different operator services.
Main technical features of Dopod A6188 include a 3.2-inch touch screen with resolution of 320×480 pixels, a 3.2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth module, GPS-receiver, accelerometer and 3.5-mm input for headphones.
Dopod A6188 will be available only at Chinese mobile operator China Mobile, which plans to sell it for $675.
