HTC Legend users are probably tired of waiting for an official update for Android 2.2. Now their sufferings are over, as firmware developers of popular CyagonenMod a couple of months ago announced they have added HTC Legend to the list of officially supported devices. At the time all geeks can get the RS-firmware for their devices.
CyagonenMod is a series of unofficial firmwares for the handsets based on the source codes of Android, which offers more opportunities. From them we can mention Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC), multitouch (if it isn’t locked for any reason in the official firmware), store and launch apps directly from the memory card, cash compression, a huge list of APN, different types of modems and much more.
The developers have got one goal – to enhance the reliability and performance of the devices comparing with the official firmwares.
As the developers web site reports, the firmware is ready, the HTC Legend has been tested and their new firmware is available for everyone to use.
You can download the CyanogenMod for HTC Legend and make your phone work better, I only have to recall the phone sports many useful features and runs Android 2.1 (Eclair). The phone is available for about $450
