Best Buy’s working hard to make people change their stereotypes concerning alternatives for purchasing smartphones. That’s why the big box retailer is spending $25 million this holiday season to make the public become more informed about Best Buy Mobile and all its offers. Allister Jones, head of marketing for Best Buy Mobile said, “We want to get customers to realize there is a better way, and that better way is Best Buy.” Best Buy seems to be making an attractive offer — buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for $59.99, and get one of three HTC smartphones for free.
All in all, Best Buy is one of the retailers trying to involve smartphone consumers into their ranks. Of course, it won’t be easy and Best Buy is aware of it, but it doesn’t mean the retailer shouldn’t try it out. The undeniable truth is retailers make more affordable offers than the carriers, and this is the case.
Well, there are offers for users of all major carriers. As a gift Verizon subscribers can pick the HTC DROID Incredible 2 in white, AT&T users the HTC Inspire 4G and finally Sprint users the HTC EVO 4G. As you see the phones are not the best ones, but they are rather respectable, aren’t they?
