Last year HTC introduced a list of handsets equipped with Beats Audio system. All of them got lots of attention and registered awesome sales records. The $300 million investment in the acquisition of Beats Audio was a great chance for the manufacturer to become compatible with such companies as Sony Ericsson with its Walkman series. The system served as a great raw software, and the company wasn’t able to move it any further than the work with HTC apps.
The situation is finally changed with the release of Android 4.0 with its HTC Sense 4.0 UI. The newest version of the UI allows using all apps with the Beats Audio. Accordingly, if you download third-party apps or/and use third-party music players, then in both cases Beats Audio software will be used for the music playback.
HTC has launched its first models of One series and obviously, this feature will be already available on these units. Still HTC has plans to introduce more stuff on Beats Audio soon, as at the moment HTC staff and Jimmy Lovine are working on a new project. They expect to get a new music streaming system. The final product will be released this year, most likely in the second quarter.
