Back in September HTC announced its new Windows Phone 8 smartphones, the HTC 8X and 8S. Earlier AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon announced they would carry HTC’s WP8 packed phones but no further details were unveiled. As for now, Neowin states AT&T will launch the 8GB and 16GB variants of the HTC 8X.
A tipster familiar with the matter has informed the aforementioned source AT&T’s stores will offer the 8GB model of the phone. If you still don’t get why this news is buzzing the net, then you should know it’s the latest addition to the manufacturer’s portfolio and being a highest-end smartphone, no one expected it to be released with less capacity memory. Take any other top-end device, there won’t be less than 16GB internal storage. But the Taiwanese company is in a situation that every not ordinary marketing step will raise its reputation.
AT&T still has made no statement in regard to this, so we can’t say whether this rumor is true or not. But if it proves correct, the HTC 8X might be offered at a cheaper price. Nokia, be careful!
