Android Honeycomb for HTC Flyer Rolling Out

The starting point of the Android Honeycomb roll out for the HTC Flyer tablet is France. This is a delayed update as the manufacturer promised to bring the Honeycomb update right after the release of the device. The update takes the device to the software version of 3.55.405.1.

At the moment the update is announced to be available only in France, and there’s no word whether it will be available in the rest of regions as well or no. What gives us a ground to doubt is France got specific units of the tablet coming with 32GB of memory and Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity capabilities.

The update is OTA, which means you will get a notification about the update as soon as it’s available. The update takes 210 MB of memory and you should make sure you have the Wi-Fi on while getting the update.

Android Honeycomb roll out for the HTC Flyer is pretty awesome, but the availability of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS leaves a space for hope to get this version of Google OS on the handsets. If Honeycomb roll out was this late, then you should not expect to get ICS earlier than the third quarter of 2012.
