The release of the Android 2.3 lead to a few interesting facts. Firstly, it did not land to Nexus One immediately as it was expected. According to the tweet of Android Developer Advocate at Google, Reto Meier, the new operating system will land to Nexus One only in a few weeks. And as usual it’s going to be an OTA update.
The second, not less interesting fact is that the test version of Android 2.3 Gingerbread is working on HTC Droid Eris, a gadget removed from the stores of the carriers. This is something fascinating, despite the fact that OS is not that fast or even optimized. Anyways this is still something noteworthy for XDA-developers.
