Android 2.3.5 Update with HTC Sense 3.0 for HTC Desire S Available

The UK was the first to shelter the HTC Desire S. As usual, it was released via several mobile operators, Vodafone, Orange and O2. And though not officially confirmed by HTC, the Desire S smartphones launched via these operators are rumored to be currently getting Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread update.

Besides the improvements coming with the latest version of Android, the update also brings HTC Sense 3.0 making the HTC Desire S look modern. As you know this version of the UI is not fully supported by older Android devices, though Desire line handsets seem to be out of this list — the HTC Desire Z and Desire HD got HTC Sense 3.0 earlier. However, this feature is welcomed to be included in the update, because it brings many desirable advantages like that fancy lock screen, new Notification pane, agile lock app and so on.

Well, as the update is rolled out in select parts of the world, you must be attentive to bring your phone up to date in time. I guess there is no need to say your phone must be charged fully and your data must be backed up when updating.
