The HTC Windows Phone 8X was expected to be priced aggressively to be able to compete with the Nokia Lumia 920. But it’s not so. Recently Expansys UK started getting pre-orders for the HTC Windows Phone 8X and 8S set prices at £399.99 ($646) and £224.99 ($362), respectively. Now we have another retailer Amazon UK ready to get pre-orders for the highest-end HTC 8X at £531.43 ($860).
The price required by Amazon doesn’t satisfy many consumers but the retailer promises to deliver the phone on November 8, which is the first and only exact launch date announced till today. We can’t say whether the HTC Windows Phone 8X will hit the UK market on the mentioned day or not but, as a rule, Amazon’s notifications are being reliable.
As to its sibling, the retailer has made no offer regarding the HTC Windows Phone 8S but the phone is rumored to be available for purchase before the end of November.
Today we heard Nokia has some problems with carriers and the Lumia 920 won’t be launched via many major carriers. In this respect, HTC’s representatives have more chances but it must affect the prices too. Do you agree?
